THE DESIGN PROCESS
CAN I BRING MY OWN DESIGN?
Yes, I would be happy to see your design ideas as reference images and a place to begin.
I create my designs, custom to the client, freehand, to involve you in the tattoo process and ensure it flows with your body. Working within the parameters of skin, the contours of your body and the ageing of the skin are factors to consider and this will translate into the tattoo design process.
I do not copy any other artists' work, or replicate existing tattoos.
Your tattoo is unique to you and by creating a bespoke artwork, I ensure only you wear this piece.
WILL YOU SEND ME A DESIGN IN ADVANCE?
No, I create my designs freehand, to the contours of your body, on the day. This involves you in the tattoo process, ensuring you are heard and crafting a unique piece in collaboration with your vision.
WHERE SHOULD I GET TATTOOED?
This is totally up to you! I am happy to discuss ideas and make suggestions but at the end of the day this art will be on your body forever and needs to be considered carefully before you begin. If you haven’t got any tattoos to begin with, I am not be willing to tattoo your head or hands as such tattoos require a lot of thought and are life changing.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The total cost of any tattoo will depend on how long it takes to complete. I charge £125 per hour for the design and tattoo work and the final cost will be calculated based on this.
My day rate is £750 which includes drawing, tattooing plus breaks. This is usually from 11.30am-6pm.
CAN YOU GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE?
By completing my enquiry form on Get Ink, I can get back to you with a rough estimate of how long the tattoo is likely to take and a price estimate. However, the total time will always depend on the intricacy of the final design, also other physical factors such as how well your skin holds, how well you sit, breaks, etc. Whilst I will always try to work with you to complete the tattoo within the estimated time, I cannot guarantee this and will not sacrifice the quality by rushing. Ensure you leave adequate time on the tattoo day.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
To secure an appointment, a deposit of £125 is required when we confirm a date for your booking. The deposit amount is deducted from the overall cost of your tattoo. However, if the project requires multiple days, the deposit will be held until the final session and deducted from the final balance. Deposits are non-refundable, however, if you need to reschedule, due to an unexpected change of circumstances, I am happy to reschedule you with at least 1 week notice in advance. The appointment can only be rescheduled a total of 2 times, if required a third time, a new deposit is required.
HOW DO I PAY?
I accept payments by Cash, Paypal or Bank Transfer. I do not have a card reader, so this has to be done via your online banking. Ensure it is set up in advance.
For international transactions, Paypal is best, as it is instant. However they can incur fees, for which you are responsible.
If paying by cash, ensure you have enough prepared.
Payment must be made before leaving the studio. If you are here for several days, payment must be made at the end of each session.
I do not offer payment plans or lines of credit.
